While this jpeg photo size is 1900 x 1425 you will notice the size illustrated in WordPress is not evident. If you click on it, however, you will see it’s actual size
Note the substantial size difference of the same photo to be shown in whole as a profile picture for Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook respectively. When you overlay the photos you will see that if you did not resize just how much of the photo would not show on the different platforms. If you were to overlay any of the resized photos over the panda photo that was taken with my phone you will again notice the size differences. If you do not resize you have missed the opportunity to post a higher quality photo on your social platform or even miss an important detail that is cut when posted on the various platforms. This is most evident when you have your feature photo on your Facebook page.
